Roberta "Bobbie" Montague, 76, of Norway, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, due to an automobile accident. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at Norway United Methodist Church with Pastor Crystal Oberheu officiating. Visitation is one hour before the service Thursday at the church. A private family burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Norway. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.hrabakfuneralhome.com.

Roberta was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Charles and Sara (Swallom) McClurg. She graduated from Palo High School and attended the University of Iowa. Roberta married Melvin Montague at St. James Church in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 8, 1958. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids until 1963, when they moved to Norway and raised their family. Roberta worked for Amana Refrigeration for more than 30 years until retirement. After retirement, she worked for Lehm Books in Amana for 15 years.

Roberta was a painter and crafter. She loved spending time with family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling. Some of her favorite places to go were Branson, Mo., and out west to Montana and the Black Hills.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Norway Methodist Church.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Melvin (Myron) "Monty" Montague of Norway; children, Ryan Montague of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Brockett of Clinton; grandchildren, William and Richard Montague; siblings, Linda (Ken) Traut, Sam (Judi) McClurg, Steve and Rich McClurg; sisters-in-law, Edna Montague and Barbra Rucker; brother-in-law, Robert (Barbara) Montague; aunt, Donna Hill; nieces, nephews and many more loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and

brother-in-law, Thomas Montague.
