Coronavirus and heartbreaking distance

My wife and I have entered our 80s and 63 years of marriage.
Now I'm living comfortably with a daughter and my wife is a resident of a high quality nursing and rehabilitation center. Her early stages of dementia are more visible with time.
What makes the situation more troubling is that it's going on six months without a hug or even a touch. Not to mention a simple ride in the country or celebration of birthdays and family holidays. Oh for a”Old Fashioned ' at Zeppelins!
Now I'm witnessing my wife's deeper depression and further memory concerns due to lack of personal contact. I wonder which is worse the 'flu” or loss of mind.
