Crews work overnight to remove snow from downtown area
Public Works crews will be performing snow removal in the downtown area starting tonight at 11 p.m until 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Roughly 700 truck loads were removed from the downtown from the Thursday night to Friday morning removal. A similar amount of snow is estimated to be removed tonight.
The snow plows weigh over 50,000 pounds and spread salt and sand. Maintain a safe distance back from snow plows by at least 50 feet. As road speeds increase, the distance should also increase. Drivers need to give room to the plows for safe operations.
