ESPN blogger joins chorus knocking Iowa basketball
Dec. 21, 2009 1:41 pm
ESPN blogger Eamonn Brennan included Iowa basketball among his five topics of the week as part of his national college basketball blog. He wrote that Texas might be the nation's best team (I agree after seeing them in person) and Kentucky freshman John Wall is dynamite (again, agree). He knocked Butler as not a Final Four-caliber squad and wrote about a Mississippi State recruit.
Brennan also wrote the Hawkeyes "are one of the worst teams at any major conference school maybe in the past 10 years." He also wrote, "it is borderline fascinating to watch the Hawkeyes play. It's grotesque."
He might have written the blog (albeit published Monday morning) before Sunday because he didn't include anything about sophomore guard Anthony Tucker's recent arrest.
