Bevill, Jane A.
Jane A. Bevill, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 9 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Ted) Martin of Hiawatha and Sandra (Charlie) Caltvedt of Urbana; and a son, James of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Chad (Jacinda) Martin, Carrie Martin and Dustin (Wendy) Duchesneau; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kaleb and Noah Duchesneau and Levii Martin; brother-in-law, Joseph Bevill; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bevill and Anna Mae Vlasek; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and a son-in-law, Ron Duchesneau.
Jane was born June 22, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Zelma (Mefferd) Miller. She married Dale B. Bevill on March 26, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 2000. Jane was always a hard worker; as a young lady at Woolworths and then as one of the “Lunch Ladies” at Wilson School. She made a house a home with her love and many talents: cooking, baking, knitting, sewing and gardening.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to the Arthritis Foundation.
