Becker, Sandra Kay
Sandra Kay Becker, 74, of Davenport, formerly of Clarence, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bennett, with Pastor Kurt Larson and Pastor Joshua Reinche officiating. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include her stepmother, Betty Carlson; stepbrother-in-law, Ron Reicks; niece and nephew, Phyllis and Duane Baker; a great-nephew, David (fiancee Deb) Baker; and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a stepsister, Sharon.
Sandra was born July 27, 1943, in Kewanee, Ill. to Emril and Opal Kimberling Carlson. On Dec. 8, 1973 she married Ralph Becker at Bennett. He died in 1995. She worked 18 years at General Telephone in Kewanee, Ill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society, Clarence Fire Department or the Clarence ambulance.
