Schupanitz, Brandon Joseph
Brandon Joseph Schupanitz, 35, of Ely, died following a sudden illness Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Gathering at Lincolnway Park immediately following the service.
Survivors include parents, Joe and Cindy Schupanitz of Cedar Rapids; brother, Nate (Kamisha) Schupanitz, and sons, Dray, Brax and Jace, all of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, Tracey Pike of Cedar Rapids, Paul (Liz) Schupanitz of Minneapolis, Pete (Deb) Schupanitz, Matt (Cathy) Schupanitz and Luke Schupanitz, all of Denver, Colo.; grandparents, Phyl Britcher and John Schupanitz, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mary Roberts of Marion; special friend, Nicole Robertson of Ely; and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Harold Britcher; and uncle, Brad Britcher.
Brandon was born Sept. 12, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of Joe and Cindy (Britcher) Schupanitz. He graduated in 1996 from Prairie High School, where he later worked as a custodian. Brandon loved making people smile and laugh. He also enjoyed playing video games, hanging with family and friends, camping and fishing.
You will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
