Robert "Bob" Seyba, 74,
of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 26, 2017, of
lung cancer. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, with visitation two hours before the service.
Bob is survived by his sons, Jason (Melissa) and James (Ryanne) Seyba; grandchildren, Jacob, Noah, Michael and Lyla; brothers, Ronald and Roger; and sisters, Ruth and Linda.
Bob was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Rochester, N.Y., to Glenn A. and Elsie A. (Flick) Seyba. He excelled in both wrestling and cross country in high school. Bob attended Winona State University before coaching track and wrestling while teaching math and science at McKinley and Franklin Middle schools in Cedar Rapids.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
He will be remembered as a devoted fan of Iowa Hawkeye wrestling, football and basketball. He enjoyed worldwide travel and golf in retirement.
