Sue A. Sage, nee Greiner, 58, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her home.

Sue was born Nov. 22, 1957, to George E. and Evelyn M. Greiner in Marshalltown, Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1976. She received her associate of arts degree from Marshalltown Community College. She then received her bachelor's degree in art from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Gregory F. Sage on May 17, 1980. They made their home in Cedar Rapids for 17 years where she worked for Phelan's Interiors as an interior designer and then as a regional sales representative for Onthank Co. in Des Moines. Clients included the interior design community and architects in Eastern Iowa. Greg and Sue relocated to Glen Ellyn, Ill., where she was involved as a volunteer in PTA and church. She was a two-time cancer survivor and volunteered many years for the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery Program, both in Iowa and Illinois. She was also blessed with artistic talent which she used and loved to create art. She had her own jewelry design business for many years.

Sue's family includes her husband, Greg; and a son, Taylor, of West Des Moines; her brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Daria Greiner of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Emily; and a nephew, Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Evelyn M. Greiner nee Wheeler.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Marshaltown.
