Darla S. Noel, 63, of Iowa City, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by family following a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lensing Funeral Service in
Iowa City. Funeral services will begin at
10:30 a.m. Friday at Gloria Dei Lutheran
Church in Iowa City. Private burial will
be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Darla is survived by her husband, Jon;
her children, Eric Noel (Amanda) of Cedar Rapids,
Rebecca Noel (Chris Dill) of North Liberty and Matt
Noel (Nikki) of Davenport; two grandchildren, Eli and
Lilith; sister, Darlene Schmidt (Chuck) of Ames; brother, Darold Matter (Jean); and brother, Darwin Matter, all of Lytton.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents and a
sister in law, Mary Matter.
