Nederhoff, Joy-Anne (Kane)
Joy-Anne (Kane) Nederhoff, 52, of Cedar Rapids, died of cancer Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at her home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Eagles Club, 1735 11th St. NW, on Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa.
Survivors include her special friend, John Walton; five sons, Anthony (Anne) of Fairfax, and Andrew, Tyler, Michael and Cody of Shellsburg; three grandchildren, Akiva, Austin and Aedric; her mother, Joy E. Kane; three sisters and a brother, Linda (Dennis) Stick, Ralph (Cindy) Kane, Cindy (Jeff) Hermanson and Rachael Kane; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her protective dog, Harley.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father, Ralph E. Kane.
Joy-Anne was born Nov. 5, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, to Ralph E. and Joy E. Kane. She was a 1974 graduate of Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids. On May 26, 1979, she was married to Wayne T. Nederhoff. Joy-Anne enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
Joy-Anne's family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the University of Iowa Cancer Care Clinic, Infusion Center, Dr. DeGeest and his staff, American Cancer Society and Iowa Hospice.
