Terry L. Rieck of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Luzerne, died at Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, after an extended illness.
Terry Rieck was born Oct. 27, 1944, in Belle Plaine, the son of Milford and Donna Mae Sindt Rieck. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1962. He married Norma Behounek on Sept. 25, 1965, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Luzerne.
He worked in the cost accounting field for over 25 years, starting at Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids, and then Farmstead and Hudson Foods in Albert Lea, Minn., before returning to Cedar Rapids in 1994, working in the vending business for Nenortas Enterprises.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Norma; one brother, Dean (Janet) Rieck of Manchester; two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. David W. Renfro officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
