Kinney demonstrates integrity, leadership

Kevin Kinney is a candidate for State Senate in District 39. I've known him for nearly 20 years. During that time, I've had the privilege of working with him in many different capacities.
As a veteran law enforcement officer, he leads by example and with integrity. He's a veteran of 28 years of service with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and is lieutenant in charge of investigations with the detective division. He is honest and compassionate in all situations.
He also has been a school board member with the Clear Creek Amana Community School District for years. As principal of the CCA Middle School, I've witnessed how supportive he is in always trying to do what's best for students. With his productive leadership, he takes seriously his responsibility of managing the school district's finances. He's clearly against wasteful spending.
In addition, I've known him as a parent. He has supported his children in all aspects of their lives and helped them become mature and responsible adults. I've learned to be a better parent by watching him with his children.
I urge voters to support him in the June 3 primary election.
