Paula Kinyon, 65, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, under hospice care in Mason City. Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty.

Paula was born April 9, 1951, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Breno Sr. and Norma Stockwell Breno. The family moved to Iowa City where Paula attended schools, graduating from West High School. She married her soul mate and only love of her life Michael J. Kinyon on Oct. 10, 1971, in New York. Michael died Jan. 20, 1976. She then attended and graduated with a travel degree from Parks College in Denver, Colo.
Paula had a great love for travelling and had lived in more than 10 states. One of her favorites was Las Vegas, as she had a love for the slot machines.
Her family includes her daughter, Saroya Kinyon-England and her husband, Aaron England; grandchildren, Mikenzie Kinyon, Zachary Kinyon Kramer, Hayley England, Cheyan and Jarrett Blackburn; Paula's siblings, Mary Davis (Terry), Joseph Breno Jr., Patricia Breno, John Breno (Connie) and Cindy Breno Adams; several nieces and nephews; and Paula's best friend, Denise Favreau and her children, Jason and Christopher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; twin grandsons, Saroyan Mykan and Kristopher Jon Kinyon; and sister-in-law, Susan Breno.
