Lack of respect, divisive media are to blame

There are a multitude of reasons why we are seeing such extremes in behavior in this country. The ignition point was obviously the tragic death of George Floyd. But the roots of this goes back a couple of decades.
There has been a tremendous erosion of respect for others. It has been most noted by the shut down of people of different opinions on our college campuses. Young people have ‘grown up' being allowed to use any excuse to abuse others and property when things do not go their way.
The other big change has been the media dividing us into winners and losers. Most of the media are not reporters but gossip columnists. Reporting with facts is no longer necessary. Listen carefully to reporters and see how they use words that suggest truth with out actually saying it.
