TODAY'S WEATHER — Partly cloudy, windy. High 34, low 18.
PRESCHOOL STRUGGLES TO STAY IN NEIGHBORHOOD — For two decades, Trinity Lane Preschool has operated out of a brick building on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids. That was explicitly brought up after Virginia Tech last Tuesday and again on Monday night after a 77-64 loss at Indiana (5-4, 1-1 Big Ten) in which the Hoosiers went on a 14-0 run in the first half and an 18-0 run in the second half. QUOTABLE — 'Like every one of my Senate colleagues, I represent about 60,000 Iowans, yet last session Republican leadership rejected my repeated requests to be appointed to vote on standing committees. Those are votes denied to my constituents, who have been largely left waiting at the committee altar.' Sen. David Johnson of Ocheyedan, who changed his voter registration from Republican to 'No Party' in June 2016 over his disagreements with now-President Donald Trump.
