Stearns, Geraldine 'Gerry' Elaine
Geraldine “Gerry” Elaine Stearns, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services were held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, John; her children, Jeff (Sofya) Stearns of Mars, Pa., Greg (Jenny) Stearns of Cedar Rapids, Mike Stearns of Sandy, Utah, and Doug Stearns of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; and her siblings, Don Keegan, Al Keegan and Pat Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Geraldine was born April 13, 1934, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Van Loo) Keegan, in Clinton, Iowa. On Sept. 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to John Stearns in Fulton, Ill.
