Gary Frank George
, 62, died peacefully Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at his home in Oakley, Calif. A celebration of life will be held Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at Outskirts, 58 Miller Ave. SW.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tina Wieser (Al) and Debbie Maher (Edward); four grandsons; a sister, Sandy; a brother, Steve; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, father and mother.
Gary played trumpet and sang in many local bands. He loved his family and his many friends. He especially loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and his “god” Ray Price.
A memorial fund has been established and can be mailed c/o Tina Wieser, 2413 Third St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
