Lila L. (Ubben) Smith, 79, of Marion, formerly of Dike, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Winslow House Care Center in Marion. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Engelkes-Abels Dike Chapel, 680 Main St., Dike, with the funeral service following the visitation at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The burial will follow services at Elmwood Cemetery in Dike. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.abelsfuneralhomes.com.
She is survived by her sons, David Smith and Ron Smith, both of Dike; and her daughter, Diane (Jim) Midcalf of Center Point; granddaughters, Emma and Olivia Midcalf; sisters, Violet Stuber of Dike and Mavis Reinerson of Phoenix, Ariz.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; and sister, Pearl.
