Donald Cory, 68, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Buchanan County Health Center, Independence. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Church of Christ United in Winthrop. Burial: Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include his three brothers, David (Barb) Cory of San Antonio, Texas, Ken (Sandra) Johnson of Independence and Terry Johnson of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Damon (Kelly) Cory, Brooke Cory, Jason (Tevi) Cory, Rachelle Cory, Amanda (Rob) Opfer of Central City, Jeremy (Allison) Johnson, D.V.M., and Andrew (Amanda) Johnson of Rowley; and many great- nieces and great-nephews.
