JOHN PARHAM
Anamosa
John Parham, founder of J&P Cycles and chairman of the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, lost his long battle with pulmonary fibrosis on April 20, 2017.
Recognized often for his marketing work and event development and promotion, John was a passionate motorcyclist, and loved the history of the sport. Amassing a large motorcycle collection, much of it has been on display at the museum, helping to tell the history of motorcycling.
Recipient of many industry awards and inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, he will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Jill; son, Zachary, daughter-in-law, Bree, and their two children, Kaiden and Kinlee; his brother, Mark and wife, Deb, of Florida; plus a large community of antique motorcycle enthusiasts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Anna; and his sister, Luann.
In lieu of flowers, please keep John's dream alive with memorials to the National Motorcycle Museum or Iowa Donor Network.
A celebration of John's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa for relatives and close friends (because of the limited seating capacity).
Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
