Middle Amana
Joyce A. Reihmann, 83, of Middle Amana, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Colonial Manor of Amana. Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, Middle Amana Church, Middle Amana, with Elders Tony Berger and Andrea Haldy officiating. Burial will be in the Middle Amana Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at the Middle Amana Church.
A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joyce is survived by son, Tim (Anita) of Marengo; daughter, Deb (John) Balhorn of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah) Reihmann of Clive, Katie Reihmann of Manhattan, Kan., and Chase (Anna) Reihmann of Lincoln, Neb.; and five great-grandchildren, Abigayle and Penelope Reihmann, and Nehemiah, Finnley and Emaline Reihmann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon in 2011; her parents; three sisters, Louise Stambaugh, Bertha Pearson and Mary Leonhardt; and two brothers, James and LaVern Klaner.
Joyce Annalea Klaner was born July 30, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of George Klaner and Hazel Cairy. She attended McKinley High School, Cedar Rapids, and married Vernon Reihmann on April 16, 1955. Joyce worked in many of the Amana businesses over the years. She enjoyed several hobbies and was active in her community. Above all, she was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
