Robert Streeper, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at his home following a sudden illness.
No services are planned at this time.
Surviving are three daughters, Marcella, Jennifer and Brenda Streeper, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight siblings, Bonnie, Sharon, Linda, Susan, Lois, Steve, Jerry and Dick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Judy.
Robert Leroy Streeper was born May 13, 1948, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Esther (Brokaw) Streeper. Robert grew up in the Center Junction, Onslow and Wyoming area, where he attended the Midland Schools. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Robert married Verna Walton in 1968. The couple later divorced. He was employed at Wilson Foods and Farmstead Foods in Cedar Rapids. For 14 years he worked at the Salvation Army doing maintenance.
