Ron was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to William and Mary Kos. He passed away peacefully after a long illness on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at his home in Tucson, Ariz.
A family memorial service will take place.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Vileta Kos; four children, Troy of Tucson, Becky Seaver and Joe Kos, both of Cedar Rapids, and Sheri Williams of Coralville; three grandchildren; and his sister, Dee (Dave) Trcka of Marana, Ariz. Also surviving is Benny Bendlage, a dear friend of Ron's for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Carol Bast Glessner Anderson.
Ron graduated from Regis High School, Class of 1963. He loved the outdoors and his motorhome, boating, camping with friends, golf and the Iowa Hawkeyes. After Ron's retirement of 23 years with Hawkeye International Trucking in 2007, Ron and his wife moved to Tucson, where he enjoyed the warm weather.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
