Dale Andrew Kappmeyer, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital. There will be no service or visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his brothers, Frank (Theresa) Kappmeyer Jr. of Oelwein and Dick (Beverly) Kappmeyer of Center Point. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosella Kappmeyer; brothers, Arthur and Jack Crawford and Grant Kappmeyer; and his sisters, Hazel Hooker and Leona Kappmeyer.
Dale was born May 20, 1937, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Frank and Jewel (Johnson) Kappmeyer. He married Rosella Kastli on May 20, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nev. Dale was an electrician/signal maintainer for Chicago Northwestern, Milwaukee and the Crandic Railroad.
He was a member of the Oelwein Methodist Church.
