Goddard, Logan Ray
Logan Ray Goddard, 7 day old son of Donnie and Angie Goddard, passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Gary Hoyt of St. Mark's United Methodist Church to officiate. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Friday at the chapel.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his grandparents, Steven and Linda Chesmore of Lisbon, Connie and Michael Kascel of Dixon, Ill., and Jeffrey and Cheryl Goddard of Cedar Rapids; great-grandparents, Dorothy Black of Deltona, Fla., Keith and Florence Chesmore of Mission, Texas, and Marian "Maw" Pendergraft of Enid, Okla.; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Logan Ray Goddard was born Oct. 12, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, the beloved son of Donnie R. and Angela M. (Chesmore) Goddard. Logan received the nicknames of "L-Ray" and "Little Wolverine" throughout his time at the hospital. Although his time here was short, the love for him will always be in his family's heart.
Logan is giving the gift of life to other babies through the Iowa Donor Network.
A memorial fund in Logan's honor has been established through Guarantee Bank, P.O. BOX 1807, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52406.
