Glenyce Mae Johnson, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. A celebration of her life will be held at her home, 904 E. Ninth St. in Vinton, on Saturday, Aug. 22, beginning at noon. Private committal services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.
She is survived by her children, David (Linda) Johnson, Steven (Delicia) Johnson, Jimmy (Heather) Johnson and Darbie (Kerry) Britt; her grandchildren, Nate Gray, Shelby Baker, Glenn Johnson, Jared Baker, Alysse Johnson, Mitchell Gray, Austin Johnson, Andy Johnson and Kayla Johnson; and eight great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene, Wayne and Bobby Lou Bechthold.
