El Paso, Texas
Everett Julius Diers, 79, of El Paso, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 19, 2018, surrounded by his family. Everett "Evy" was born on Feb. 25, 1939, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Harlan J. Diers and Edith (Graf) Diers.
He is survived by his three children, daughter, Terri (John) Martin of Norwalk, Iowa, son, Michael (Susie Cooper) Diers of North Liberty, Iowa, and daughter, Linda Diers of Houston; his wife, Luz; his grandson, Nicholas (Megan) Hague; his great-granddaughter, Samantha, of Tallahassee, Fla.; his former wife, Kay Sidlauskas of Sun City West, Ariz.; his sister, Ruth Rhoades of Wayland, Iowa; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Diers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge 1192 in Fairfield, Iowa.
