Letter: Taxpayers will foot bill for scandal

Once again the taxpayers of Cedar Rapids get to foot the bill.
We have the scandal of a young female substitute teacher having sex with a male student. Three improperly trained administrators retire and they are a paid $350,000 bonus so they won't sue. Sue for what? Losing your job because you didn't do it?
Guess what? If you are not competent to do your job, you get fired. You don't get retirement and a bonus. The teacher had sex, the administrators got a bonus and once again the city taxpayers are the ones who got screwed.
