RONALD RAY EDEN
Crawfordsville, Ind.
Ronald Ray Eden, 75, of Crawfordsville, Ind., passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at home surrounded by family members who were worshipping the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ron was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He was a local businessman who enjoyed getting to know people and helping them in any way he could. He took pride in serving the community of Crawfordsville through his businesses and friendships. He enjoyed and knew the value of hard work, yet he took time to play, whether that meant racing, flying, boating or traveling. He lived life in the fast lane and wanted to bring others along with him for the ride. He loved people and was always eager to hear the story of anyone he met, nearly all of whom became friends. He lived his life with passion and joy to the max, making everything special for himself and for all who crossed paths with him.
Ron was the son of Tom and Shirley (Hoag) Eden from Monticello, Iowa. He married Sharon Zimmerman, also of Monticello, in 1958. After graduating from the University of Iowa, they moved to Crawfordsville, Ind., in 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Dawn (Jeff) Barteau, Tom (Tricia) Eden, Shannon (Greg) Hammond and Sondi Eden; his siblings, Tammy (Don) Huie, Tanya (Bob) Tobiason and Tom D. Eden; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Crawfordsville Quality Inn.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Community Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
