39th Shrine Bowl kicks off Saturday

The 39th annual Iowa Shrine Bowl all-star football game is Saturday at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The North and South rosters are dotted with graduated seniors from Eastern Iowa, including Iowa football recruit Austin Blyhe of Williamsburg on the South team and The Gazette's player of the Year, Brendon Boerm of North Tama, on the north squad.
The game benefits the Shriner's Hosptial for Children programs. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the gate. Contact Jerry Hoffman at xautoman@mchsi.com for ticket information.
Other members of the South team include Marshall Koehn of Solon, Zach Pechous of Iowa City Regina, Mitchell Schroeder of North Cedar, Andrew McNulty of Iowa City High, Josh Rohret of Clear Creek Amana, Rilen Carew of West Branch and Patrick Frank of Sigourney-Keota.
The North team is loaded with Metro players - Chase Kleopfer of Xavier, Dusty Albaugh of Marion, Jer Garman of Linn-Mar and Ross Ellsworth of Kennedy. Other area players include Nick Eastburn of Monticello, Reid Nuss of North Fayette, Kyle Fink of Oelwein, Cody Saquitne of Decorah, Nick Lenstra of Western Dubuque, Sam Beard of Decorah, Tyler Dunkel of Dyersville Beckman and Ben Miller of Waukon.
