Marilyn J. Gullickson, 72, of Marion, died Monday June 22, 2015, surrounded by her beloved daughter and companion at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Me-morial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Vicki Standley will officiate. Private family burial: Lone Tree Cemetery, Lone Tree. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Joe) Ryan of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Quentin (Kathy) Coffman of Eldridge; and her companion, Dave Skelley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Daniel Coffman II.
Marilyn was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Waverly, the daughter of Daniel and Jane Hazlett Coffman Jr. She married Darold E. Gullickson on Jan. 19, 1974, in Cloquet, Minn. Darold passed away in 2005.
Marilyn was a homemaker and a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Marion. She was a member of the PEO, Shriners Auxiliary and a 50-year member of Eastern Star.
Marilyn enjoyed traveling, gardening and the time spent with her beloved family and many friends.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family would like to thank the staffs at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics medical intensive care unit, its oncology department, and Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha for the love and tender compassion given to Marilyn.
