Alcinda Jane Carfrae, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Oct. 16, 2016. Memorial services: 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 p.m. until service time. Burial: White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, Mo.
Alcinda was born Feb. 15, 1967, to John and Sammie (Hoggard) Mills. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo., and attended Arizona Heart Institute
in Phoenix. Alcinda married Rob Carfrae on March 3, 2004, at Candlelight Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. For 12 years, Alcinda worked as a cardiac sonographer at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, and recently at the VA Hospital, Iowa City.
Alcinda is survived by her husband, Rob Carfrae, and son, Jackson Britt Carfrae, both of Cedar Rapids; parents, John and Sammie Mills, and sister, Jamie (Stoney) Martin, all of Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Britt Mills.
