Chrystal, Christopher M.

Christopher M. Chrystal, 33, of Marion, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Troy Mills Christian Church, by the Rev. James Wolf. The family will greet friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; four children, Riley, Hunter, Lucile and Miles; his father, Brian (Betsy) Chrystal of Delhi; his mother, Lynne Cassidy of Troy Mills; grandparents, Mary Walton of Marion, Keith (Yvonne) Walton of Cedar Rapids, and Roberta Chrystal of Marion; his siblings, Shannon (Jon) McGraw of Troy Mills, and Devon Chrystal of Delhi; stepsiblings, Christine Cassidy of Waukon, Kim Midgarden of Pennsylvania, Craig (Cari) Cassidy of Center Point, and Juli Cassidy of Vinton; and uncles and aunts, Craig Walton of Cedar Rapids, Cynthia Chrystal of Georgia, Carrol Chrystal of Washington, Michelle Warner of Georgia, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Curt Cassidy; his grandpa, Harold Chrystal; and his great-grandparents.

Christopher was born Dec. 31, 1975, the son of Brian Chrystal and Lynne Cassidy, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Elizabeth Marie Humble on April 17, 2004, in Troy Mills. He was employed at U.S. Corrugated for four years. Christopher was a wonderful and very loving father to his four children.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Christopher's memory.
