Garrison woman convicted of vehicular homicide

Peggy Sue King, 50, of Garrison, charged with vehicular homicide, was found guilty today in Benton County District Court after a non-jury trial earlier this month.
Sixth Judicial District Judge Patrick Grady pronounced the verdict. Sentencing will be set in October.
King lost control of her car and crashed into an embankment, about two miles southwest of Vinton on Highway E-22 in 2007, killing a passenger, Brittany Lee Glime, 19, of Garrison and injuring her son Adam King, 27.
Glime, Adam King's girlfriend, died of a broken neck causing by the accident, according to testimony.
King had a blood alcohol level of .012 percent after the accident. The legal limit is 0.08.
King and her passengers had been to the county fair the night of the accident and King had a few beers and then had some drinks later when they went to a restaurant/bar in Vinton, according to testimony.
