CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Northern Iowa football coach Mark Farley has suspended three reserves from the opener against Iowa because of off-season arrests.
The players are sophomore backup quarterback Zach Davis and offensive linemen Evan Tecklenburg, also a sophomore, and redshirt freshman Misha Danilov.
Farley says he suspended Davis from the Sept. 5 game as a result of his arrest last weekend for drunken driving.
Tecklenburg and Danilov were benched for the game after being arrested in July on drug charges.
