Robert Joseph Sperfslage, 88, of Manchester, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.
Survivors include his four children, Alice Pollock of Milton, N.Y., Bernice Langel of Cedar Rapids, Irvin (Nina) Sperfslage of Manchester and Cyril (Michele) Sperfslage of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Mark Langel, Jeni Schwarzhoff and Eric and Jason Sperfslage; five great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Boutros "Peter" El-Sabaaly of Lebanon; three siblings, Jim (Fay) Sperfslage of Earlville, Herbert (Theresia) Sperfslage of Dyersville and Lucille (Avalo) Berns of Wisconsin; and special friend, Teresa Funk of Edgewood.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester, with a 3 p.m. Scripture service. Friends also may call one hour before Mass at the church on Friday. Interment with military rites: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
