Jacobus, Lynn M.
Lynn M. Jacobus, 41, of Shellsburg, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Dorothy Ferr. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Jennifer Lynn Jacobus (Jeremy Hynek) of Fairfax, Michael Lee (Sheena) Jacobus of Hiawatha, Crystal Marie Jacobus (Justin McNabb) of Stanwood and Crystal Dawn Shepherd of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; mother, Vivian Cruise of Cedar Rapids; father, Thomas Struchen of Van Horne; grandmother, Leota Yanda of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Tom E. “TJ” Struchen Jr. (Deb Mullen) of Covington, Brian (Jamie) Cruise of Atkins, Bill Cruise of Cedar Rapids and James (Julie) Cruise of Cedar Rapids; sister, Julie Nosek of Cedar Rapids; and several aunts and uncles.
Lynn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Struchen; grandfather, Leo Yanda; stepfather, Robert Cruise; and stepmother, Bess Struchen.
Born Feb. 4, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, Lynn was the daughter of Thomas Struchen and Vivian Yanda. On Feb. 4, 1993, she was united in marriage to Ron Jacobus. Lynn was formerly employed by Hawkeye Convenience Stores.
Lynn enjoyed reading books, had a passion for music, playing cards and loved spending time outdoors.
