COLIN "COKES" ROSS BRUYERE

Colin "Cokes" Ross Bruyere, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at his home in Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at First Lutheran Church, 1000 Third Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Colin was born Aug. 21, 1969, in Fort Francis, Ontario, Canada, the son of Marvin and Catherine (Perreault) Bruyere. On Sept. 2, 2006, he married Jade Rodeen Johnson in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a mechanic for Boubin Tire & Automotive, Sears, then as a security guard for Republic Parking.
Colin is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jade Bruyere of Cedar Rapids; sisters, JoAnne Bruyere of Fort Francis, Ontario, and Lori Ann (Ken) Rousseau of Sioux Lookout, Ontario; brothers, Arden Bruyere of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Gregg (Connie) Bruyere of Fort Francis, Ontario; aunt, Myrtle Bruyere of Ottawa, Canada; father and mother-in-law, G. Richard and Jackie R. Johnson of Cedar Rapids; brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Tami Johnson of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews in Canada and Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Catherine Bruyere.
