George Hinkle, 68, of Nampa, Idaho, died there Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015. VFW military graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Kohler Lawn Cemetery, Nampa. There will be no visitation.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Jones; children, Bill Hinkle and Clell (Darlene) Hinkle; brother, Will Hinkle; sister, Sally (Bruce) Walker; and mother, Betty Veenker.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hinkle; wife, Mara Lee Hinkle; and brother, Mike Hinkle.
George was born March 10, 1947, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of William and Betty (Burkett) Hinkle. He served eight years as an Army sergeant, stationed in Germany. George and his wife, Mara Lee, enjoyed their career driving cross-country trucks and tour buses.
