Davidson, Brenna
Brenna Davidson, 73, of Iowa City, died peacefully at her summer home in Detroit Lakes, Minn., on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with Rabbi Jeff Portman officiating. Burial will be at Agudas Achim Cemetery.
Brenna was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of James and Bessie Hoffman Persellin. She was a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she received her degree in dental hygiene. On June 28, 1959, Brenna married Arnold Davidson in Fargo. For 35 years Brenna was the co-owner of The White House, an Iowa City baby and maternity clothing store.
Brenna was a member of Agudas Achim Congregation and its Sisterhood. She volunteered with Iowa City Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
Brenna is survived by their five children and 11 grandchildren, Jim (Dena) Davidson of Calabasas, Calif., and their children, Jacob, Alec and Dani; Linda Friedman of Tucson, Ariz., and her children, Adam, Jared and Ellie; Deborah Collingwood of Tucson, Ariz., and her daughter, Hannah; Scott (Jody) Davidson of Clearwater, Fla., and their children, Alyssa and Zoe; and Rebecca (James) Sale of Pasadena, Calif., and their children, Addison and Emma; two brothers, Donald (Sarah) Persellin of Tucson, Ariz., and Robert (Diane) Persellin of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brenna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Edward Persellin.
