Petersen, Joseph 'Joe' Allen
Joseph "Joe" Allen Petersen, 32, passed away in his home Saturday,
Sept. 26, 2009 following a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Craig Bex. Friends may visit 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home and again after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Tracey; two daughters, Kaylee Petersen of Springfield, Mo., and Brooklyn Petersen of Cedar Rapids; three stepchildren, Austin, Taylor and Meghan Dreckman; his parents, Terry and Rosalee Petersen; two sisters, Amy (Brian) Yardley and Christina (Karl) Djerf all of Cedar Rapids; grandmothers, Betty Petersen of Cedar Rapids and Joyce Wells of Marion; in-laws Randy and Dede Brown of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law Chris (David) Hagerman of Cedar Rapids; four nephews, three nieces and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
His paternal grandfather, Rodney Petersen and maternal grandfather, Garold Wells preceded Joe in death.
Joseph Allen Petersen was born June 5, 1977, in Waverly, son of Terry and Rosalee Wells Petersen. Joe married Tracey Brown on Nov. 24, 2007 in Cedar Rapids. He attended Kirkwood Community College.
Joe's joys were fishing, music, computers and his movies. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother.
