Pazour, Shirley Cartano

Shirley Cartano Pazour, 81, of Hiawatha, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Shirley was born July 10, 1932, to William and Lucille (Grimm) Cartano in Anamosa, Iowa.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Terry Veenstra and Deborah (Steve) Clair, both of Cedar Rapids; grandsons, Kurt (Kim) Veenstra of Oregon and Kolby (Jana) Veenstra of Florida; granddaughter, Janelle (Todd) Brashaw of Marion; grandson, Dustin (Ashley) Clair of Cedar Rapids; sister, Joann Houser of Nebraska; brother, Gary (Lucy) Cartano of California; sister, Linda (Earl) Decker of Cedar Rapids; one stepdaughter, Susan Barr of Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Pazour; and a brother, Johnny Cartano.

Shirley will always be remembered for her love of cooking and for spending time with her family.

Memorials may be directed to the Oldorf Hospice House.
