Williamson, Rose B.
Rose B. Williamson, 87, of Independence, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at East Towne Care Center in Independence following a long illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Independence. Burial: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Hazleton. Friends may call for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Independence, where a military service begins at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by one daughter, Wilma (David) Hammell of Gays Mills, Wis.; two grandsons, Chris (Lacy) Hammell of Boscobel, Wis., and Eric (Caroline Boland) Hammell of Highland, Wis.; two great-grandsons; and a sister, Ruth Lamb of Cedar Rapids.
She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Norway, Iowa. Mrs. Williamson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
