Mary Irene "Rene" Lighthart, 97, of Cascade, died Saturday morning, July 19, 2014, at Shady Rest
Care Center in Cascade. Friends and relatives of Rene may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where a CDA rosary will be held at 4:30 p.m. and a wake service at 6 p.m. Services for Rene will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating and Monsignor John McClean concelebrating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (John) Donovan of Cascade; a granddaughter, Molly (Jeff) Morreim of Cascade; a great-granddaughter, Ava Morreim of Cascade; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Jack, Albert, Melvin, Harland, Donald and John Joseph McElmeel; and two sisters, Margaret Leytem and Romilda "Millie" Tucker.
