Myrna E. White, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital following a
short illness. A gathering to remember Myrna will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at her home, 1700 E Ave. NW, Cedar Rapids. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Survivors include her son, Kyle White of Cedar Rapids; sister, Kay Schweitzer of Cedar Rapids; brother, Gene and Lois White of Oklahoma City; and nieces and nephews, Mike Schweitzer, Laura Tucker, Jackie Striker, Jim White, John White, Jeff White and Becky Marshall.
Her sister, Mary Sue Debien, preceded her in death.
Myrna Ellen was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Farson, Iowa, the daughter of Marion Leoniads and Ruth Olive (Baker) White. She worked as a teller at Firstar Bank for 10 years.
In her spare time Myrna enjoyed reading books.
Her family was everything to her and she loved spending time with them.
