Darlene M. Christensen, 85, of Johnston, formerly of West Branch and Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center. Private inurnment took place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Darlene was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Woodland Township, Iowa, to Kennie and Goldie (Perkins) Marcusson. She was united in marriage to Floyd Christensen.
Surviving are her children, Heidi (John) Harriman of St. Joseph, Mo., and Chris Christensen of Norwalk; grandchildren, Chloe and Hillary Harriman and Tucker and Dylan Christensen; a sister, Margaret Cozad; and sister-in-law, Jo Marcusson, both of Red Oak; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd, in 2013; brother, Luverne Marcusson; brother-in-law, Bill Cozad; niece, Christine (Cozad) Miller; grandson, Chase Harriman; and brother- and sister-in-law, Chuck and Dorothy Blaha.
