Patricia Joan Jones, 79, of Hiawatha, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Memorial
services: 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, at Christ Church Presbyterian, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Tim Dyck. Her body was cremated. Inurnment: private at Eldon Cemetery in Eldon, Iowa. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her sisters, Shirley Neuhaus of Cedar Rapids and LaVelle McQuiston and husband Bill of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Ellis; and a brother, Daniel Essary.
Patricia was born Dec. 1, 1934, in Davis County, Iowa, the daughter of Wm. A. and Elvia (Brookshier) Myers. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, where she was active in the band. She was a bookkeeper for Hawkeye Rubber Manufacturing.
Patricia was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian and American Business Women's Association (ABWA) and also was active in Big Sisters and Big Brothers.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
