Richard "Dean" Chettinger Jr., 58, of Lamont, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Grace United Meth-odist Church, Lamont. Visitation will be Monday, July 28, from 4 to 8 p.m., also at the church.
Survivors include his children, Amy (Dennis) Acey, Springfield, Tenn., Travis (Kristi) Chettinger, Lamont, Tiffany (Ryan Nie) Chettinger, Lamont, Jacob (Jessie Mescher) Bergfeld, Dundee, and Pam (Justin McDonald) Knight, Lamont; nine grandchildren; siblings, Sherrie (Ron) Taylor, Aurora, Evelyn (Wayne) Burgin, Strawberry Point, Bonnie (Lonnie) Opitz, Aurora, Sandy (Ron) Gamm, Marion, Dorothy (Russell) Holthaus, Aurora, and Shirley Chettinger, Hazelton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Ronda Noble-Chettinger.
Dean was born Oct. 23, 1955, the son of Lucille Ava (Moser) and Richard Dean Chettinger Sr. He married Ronda Ellen Noble on Sept. 25, 1981, in Dundee. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Dundee. Dean enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
