Terri L. Skalsky, 49, of Walford, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church, Walford, by Pastor Mike Townsley. Friends may visit with the family Saturday after 9 a.m. at the church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family
Terri is survived by her husband, John, of 29 years; two children, John Jr. of Walford and Brenda (Dylan) Strong of Blairstown; her parents, Larry and Carol Moser of Garnavillo; her brother, Derek Sr. (Yvonne) Moser of Marshalltown; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Donald and Lillian Skalsky.
Terri Lynn was born Dec. 15, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Larry and Carol Krapfl Moser. She married John Steven Skalsky on Nov. 22, 1986, at Hillside Wesleyan Church in Cedar Rapids. After 19 years as a day care provider in her home, Terri enjoyed her time at home and working as a temp worker for several companies.
Terri was an outdoors person who enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, gardening and working in her flower bed. She especially loved spending time with her family and dogs and always was ready to dance and listen to the great music of the '60s.
